Fukuoka Hotel Discount 2026:
Up to 50% Kyushu Travel Support from October
Planning a trip to Fukuoka later in 2026? Japan has announced the Kyushu Recovery Support Discount, a tourism support program covering eligible travel and accommodation products across Kyushu.
However, Fukuoka has not yet announced its final booking start date, participating booking platforms or detailed eligibility rules.
What is the Kyushu Recovery Support Discount?
The Japan Tourism Agency introduced the Kyushu Recovery Support Discount to help restore tourism demand following the 2026 Kumamoto earthquake.
The program covers eligible travel and accommodation products involving at least one overnight stay in Kyushu.
For Fukuoka, the announced support rate is 50% of eligible travel or accommodation costs.
If an eligible accommodation product costs ¥30,000 per person, a 50% support rate could theoretically reduce the eligible amount by ¥15,000, subject to the final program rules and booking conditions.
For a one-night accommodation-only product or an eligible one-night transport-and-hotel package, the maximum support amount announced by the Japan Tourism Agency is ¥20,000 per person per trip.
As of September 17, 2026, Fukuoka Prefecture has not yet published its detailed reservation start date, participating online travel agencies or complete eligibility conditions. The national announcement does not currently specify a nationality restriction, but international travelers should not assume that every overseas booking or every OTA reservation will automatically qualify.
Where should you stay in Fukuoka?
If this is your first visit to Fukuoka, choosing the right neighborhood can make your trip much easier.
A convenient choice for JR trains and airport access. Hakata is especially useful if you are planning day trips to places such as Yufuin or Beppu.
One of the best areas for shopping, restaurants and cafés. It is a convenient base for travelers who want to spend most of their time in central Fukuoka.
Known for its evening atmosphere and famous yatai food stalls. Nakasu is also conveniently located between Hakata and Tenjin.

However, Fukuoka’s exact booking start date, participating travel agencies and online booking platforms have not yet been officially announced.
